What is NormaTec Recovery?

The high-tech system uses air pressure massage to relieve muscle aches and pains by increasing the circulation in the treated areas of the legs. Many professional athletes, trainers and workout enthusiasts use this technology to stay at their peak performance.

What are The Benefits of NormaTec?

The benefits of NormaTec Pulse include enhanced blood flow and compression. This ensures that fluids leave the limbs after an intense workout. The system is also designed with the distal release, which prevents backflow. The benefits of dynamic compression are supported by research. Some of the benefits reported by these studies include increased flexibility and range of motion for the lower extremities after workouts.

How does NormaTec Work?

NormaTec uses a patented massage pattern that works on different parts of the body. This system mimics the natural motions of the wearer’s legs to remove metabolites (lactic acid, and certain amino acids) and fluids from the limbs after intense activity. The pulsing movements are helpful for preventing injuries and accelerating recovery time.

The system was created by a physician bioengineer (MD, Ph.D.) to enhance blood flow and speed recovery, and uses a digital, biomimicry-massage pattern with three key phases—pulsing, distal release, and gradients—all to maximize your recovery.

Distal Release

Extended static pressure can hurt the body’s normal circulatory flow. The Sequential Pulse Technology releases these hold pressures once they are no longer required. By releasing the hold pressure in each zone quickly, each portion of the wearer’s limb receives optimal rest time.

Pulsing

Instead of squeezing transport fluid out of the legs, NormaTec Pulse Technology uses a dynamic pulsing technique. The patented process does a better job by mimicking the muscle pump of the legs. This significantly increases the movement of lactic acid out of the legs after a workout.

Gradients

Your veins and lymphatic vessels have one-way valves that prevent fluid backflow. The Pulse Technology used in the NormaTec system prevents fluids from being forced in the wrong direction.
